Description
At last! I have finished the bodice of my Elizabethan court dress! I am so proud of this it isn't even funny!
So, I used McCall's pattern M4696, figure D. Not a totally accurate shape for the period, but I don't have the means to bone a bodice or corset yet.
It's three layers, one of muslin, then heavyweight interfacing, then tapestry brocade.
At least 6 hours went into this little thing!
So all that I have left until the dress is complete:
-Hem the skirt to fit my crinoline
-sew a smock
-make the jewelry
